Bumped into the Rugby coach whilst on my morning c Bumped into the Rugby coach whilst on my morning constitutional today — got to get rid of the Easter egg somehow, don’t you?

Anyway, it made me realise rugby is just around the corner — as in only a couple of weeks around the corner

And whilst the current weather is anything but “rugby like” it prompted me to look back at the last time I was running around the sidelines of a rugby match, camera in hand

A few from the final match of last season — a strange COVID impaired year that meant the game in question was played mid-week and on a school day to boot

Scots v Newington in late September!
Spent a chunk of the past few days ploughing throu Spent a chunk of the past few days ploughing through old images as I look to make a few tweaks to those displayed on the peterwade.photography website

But found myself on the horns of a dilemma on a number of occasions when I had to select one photo over another

As a result I still have a few more decisions to make before the changes are released into the wild later this month

Hopefully, at that point, you will agree with the choices I made

Today’s offering is a combination of some I have previously posted along with a few images you haven’t seen before - but all of which remain in the website update mix
I first posted this image a few weeks ago but didn I first posted this image a few weeks ago but didn’t feel it did justice to it given how it was all scrunched up in one frame so that it might better fit onto Instagram

I think it looks much better today thank you very much!

Hope you agree
With a long, long weekend on our doorstep today ha With a long, long weekend on our doorstep today has felt like a Friday and time to ease back a touch

That being the case I used it as an opportunity to go through a few folders of some basketball matches from earlier in the year that haven’t been opened for a while

Today’s post is a bunch of images from those
I have mentioned before that my feed alternates be I have mentioned before that my feed alternates between vertical (portrait) and horizontal (landscape) image orientations — and sometimes that mean an image is not viewed in the way that does it justice. Today’s upload
is a case in point

A month or so back I found myself photographing a cricket match and made this image as I wandered from one end of the ground to the other so that I might capture the action from a different perspective. And even though I was reasonably happy with the end product, in normal circumstances, it would usually have remained on my hard drive unlikely to ever see the light of day

Thanks to some helpful advice from @tonyo4446 — and maybe because I had the COVID jab this morning and it has made me a touch whackier than normal — I decided it was time to release the photo out into the world

So you might better appreciate where I am coming from I have posted both the “traditional” Instagram version and a panorama of the same image — I know which of the two I prefer

Would love to hear what you think as, potentially from an IG post viewpoint, it has opened up a new path for me to head down
A few more images from across the Term 1 sports pr A few more images from across the Term 1 sports program. Hopefully there will still be a program in Term 2
A few more images from the Term 1 season of sport A few more images from the Term 1 season of sport just ended

Don’t forget that the originals (and, therefore larger versions) of these — as well as those previously posted — can be found on our website (peterwade.photography)
Only a handful of days before school’s out and a Only a handful of days before school’s out and a (well, almost) three week break begins

Which means it is time for me to revert to “best of the rest” mode — and maybe also get to throw a few of my favourite images from the last 10 weeks or so back into the feed

Give that since the end of January we have covered five different sports — basketball, cricket, rowing, swimming and tennis — it will likely ensure an eclectic mix of images should be forthcoming over the next couple of weeks

Let the fun begin
Getting near to the end of term, exams are almost Getting near to the end of term, exams are almost behind us and vacation time beckons

And that means it’s time for me to pull out a few images that, under normal circumstances, probably wouldn’t have ever seen the light of day

It’s been a long term for me too — so it seems only fair that I get to lighten up a touch as well
