After a very rough week a short break in Lisbon was just what was needed — and even better was that it’s a great city to see on foot. Lots of history, lovely old (some very old) buildings — many of which are adorned with brilliantly coloured, patterned tiles — and churches, great food, markets, old trams, and friendly people. Not on everyone’s hit list either which provides a greater incentive to make the journey.
