Being a bit of a traditionalist I am still not sure what to make of the new events that keep popping up as Olympic sports

I mean, surfing for heaven’s sake! What would the Ancient Romans have thought of that?

Just how do you get a wave going on the Colosseum? Sounds more like the intro to a corny joke, doesn’t it?!!!

Anyway, the good news is that, in the current environment, the more sports there are the more images I have to post!

Beginning to wonder if we will ever see scenes like this again?

Three down but, hopefully, only two more to go

And as we head into Term 3, weekend 1 we do so in

And as we head into Term 3, weekend 1 we do so in the knowledge that all competitive sport has been canned for the foreseeable future — at least we are still able to exercise outdoors, even if only in pairs.

So why not take the opportunity to head to the local park for a long run, rid yourself of some COVID lockdown cobwebs and prepare the body for the inevitable return of sport?

Unfortunately the referee delivered some more bad

Unfortunately the referee delivered some more bad news today — lockdown will continue until at least July 30

And instead of taking on Shore in the second round of the GPS rugby this weekend we will be playing on our phones, binge watching TV, or maybe even studying

But hopefully all is not lost. Last year’s rugby season didn’t kick off until the final Saturday in August, concluding in mid - September

Perhaps history may repeat?
